Dr. Tara Scott, MD

Expertise

Dr. Tara Scott, also known as the Hormone Guru, helps people find the cause of their symptoms and helps get them on a path to optimal health. She first became involved with hormonal and integrative medicine while practicing as an OB-GYN. She is board-certified in OB-GYN, functional medicine, and integrative medicine. She has 26 years of private practice experience and has been working in the menopause space for 20 years.

Her empathy for patients experiencing hormone-related issues led her to become trained as an advanced fellow and certified by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. She has been consulting with other companies in the industry since 2020, offering her knowledge in the hormone/wellness/menopause space to help enhance their businesses.

Dr. Scott is passionate about educating the medical community on the advances in evidence-based hormone therapy. She lectures around the community to raise awareness about wellness and hormone balance. Dr. Scott has been speaking and educating for over 10 years and has taught doctors her approach in 5 continents.

Education and Training

Dr. Scott graduated from Northeast Ohio University College of Medicine and completed her residency with Summa Health Systems at Akron City Hospital in Ohio. In 2016, she also obtained an additional board certification in Integrative Medicine.

She recently "retired" from practicing as an OB/GYN after almost 20 years to focus on functional and integrative medicine. She is an Associate Clinical Professor at Northeast Ohio Medical University, where she teaches OB-GYN Residents.

Personal

In her free time, Dr. Scott likes to spend her time traveling and exploring the outdoors, whether that's running with her friends, hiking the best views at her favorite national parks or searching for the newest adventure by visiting one of her 3 adult children.
